SESSION INFORMATION

A listening ear

First responder families exemplify unwavering resilience and support as they navigate the unique challenges of having a loved one on the frontlines of emergency service. These families are the backbone of strength, offering a nurturing environment that goes beyond the conventional bounds of care. Embracing a culture of understanding and flexibility, they foster an atmosphere of open communication to address the emotional toll of the demanding work. Whether it's a listening ear after a tough shift or providing a comforting presence during times of stress, these families prioritize the mental and emotional well-being of their frontline heroes.

Ms. McGhee and Dr. Semple, are two such families who will come and share some of their coping strategies and resources that have helped preserve the health and resilience of their loved ones who work tirelessly to keep our communities safe.
