Discover how to “control the controllables” and embrace the challenge to lead—no matter your position—by fostering collaboration, supporting performance, and prioritizing well-being for yourself and others. Intergenerational Trauma and Parenting

We may think that trauma affects only those who experience the acute event. First hand open discussion with a person who has lived (and corrected) intergenerational trauma. READ ADAM’S BIO

Navigating the Labyrinth of Worker’s Compensation Claims

First responders with PTSD and other occupational stress injuries are often faced with having to navigate a very complex worker’s compensation system when they need it the most, yet also at a time of acute need. Being prepared by proactively educating oneself on how to go about initiating a claim and navigating the claims process is critical to early intervention and recovery. Understanding what is possible can help provide a roadmap to ensure the system works in ways it was intended to that will be most helpful. This workshop, prepared by a psychologist who has worked alongside and inside the system with hundreds of first responders and those working in other high trauma sector jobs, will help build resilience through “coping ahead” by developing knowledge that can be leveraged to navigate a difficult time with greater ease to meet one’s needs to support mental health wellness, recovery, and growth.
