Shiona Robertson has a Master’s degree in Counselling Psychology and a Bachelor’s in Social Work. She is a Professor in Child and Youth Care at Centennial College, a Registered Psychotherapist and a member of the Ontario Association of Child and Youth Care. Shiona has twenty-four years of experience in the helping profession.
Shiona is a Peer Support Trainer with the Tema Foundation and is passionate about sharing knowledge and experience related to trauma informed care. She has co-trained through Safeguards Training with several Indigenous Children’s Mental Health agencies and has presented at professional conferences in Canada and the USA. Shiona provides attachment and trauma consultation and peer supervision to Elementary Day Treatment Programs at a local Children’s Mental Health agency.
