DR. TANIA BIELAK, C. Psych

Dr. Tania Bielak is a clinical psychologist with two decades of experience supporting those who serve under extraordinary pressure. She holds a PhD in clinical psychology from the University of Waterloo and has dedicated her career to working with first responders, healthcare professionals, and members and veterans of the Canadian Forces.

Dr. Bielak has held clinical roles at the Centre for Addiction and Mental Health (CAMH) Psychological Trauma Program and the Parkwood Operational Stress Injury (OSI) Clinic, where she provided care for individuals impacted by service-related stress and trauma. She is the founder and director of Wise Mind Psychology, a specialized practice focused on evidence-based, trauma-informed care for professionals emotionally impacted by their work.

Inspired by the struggles of her patients, Dr. Bielak recently published, The Strength to Serve: Mental Health Strategies for First Responders and Healthcare Professionals, a practical, compassionate, evidence-based workbook designed to translate leading psychological research into real-world tools and strategies— a valuable resource for those working on the front lines.
