Ava is a passionate health and education professional based in Halifax, Nova Scotia, committed to supporting others through inclusive care and learning. With a background that bridges nutrition, education, and workplace wellness, she brings a well-rounded and thoughtful approach to everything she does.
Ava holds bachelor’s degrees in Applied Human Nutrition (Dietetics) and Education and is currently completing a Master’s in Adult Education with a concentration in health. Her career spans both public and private sectors, where she has held roles spanning dietetics, disability case management, vocational rehabilitation, and corporate health and wellness. Whether she’s supporting an employee’s journey to return to work, facilitating wellness initiatives, or designing adult learning programs, Ava is recognized for her collaborative style, compassion, and dedication to meaningful outcomes. At the heart of her work is a belief in empowering individuals and creating environments where people feel supported, seen, and capable of growth.
Outside of work, Ava stays active and competitive. You’ll often find her on the golf course, softball field, or playing hockey in the winter months. A lifelong Toronto Maple Leafs fan, she brings the same loyalty and optimism to the game as she does to her work; always showing up, no matter the odds!
